Unless you’re Martha Stewart, and have an entire gift wrapping room in your home…you probably feel like most people this time of year, tired and sore. Gift wrapping should be a FUN experience, but most of the time it leaves us with an achy neck or back.
The important thing to focus on is going to be speed! We have to get in, wrap these presents, and get on with our day BEFORE achiness has a chance to invade our life.
Here are a few tools that I think would make life easier, and more importantly speed up the process so we aren’t in compromised positions for too long.
1. Tape Dispenser: The tape will always be clipped to the table and easy to access.
2. Tube Cutter: If you are using a traditional tube roll, this is a great time saver and leaves clean lines.
3. Accessories Organizer: Like everything in life, organization is key! If you don’t already have something like this, it’ll save time!
4. Most important of all, make sure you are protecting your neck through this whole process. The tendency is to let the head fall forward (I call it turtle neck). Try and keep the chin pulled backwards, engaging the muscles of the upper neck. Bend from the waist and make sure to take breaks every 20 minutes to stretch!
Seasons Greetings!
